Central to this growth was the requirement for a broadly experienced and talented design and engineering professional with hyperscale specific experience. Saurin is probably a bit overqualified for this role if measuring in pure MWs designed and developed. Power scarcity has become the limiter of growth and therefore a significant lever of competitive advantage. As the single largest line item in data center development and operations, DC BLOX needed an expert to navigate, investigate, and negotiate power considerations in all locations, past and present. Todd was deeply experienced but in a larger hierarchy where his decision making was less impactful. Now he has a highly valued seat at the executive leadership table where power is a factor in every conversation.
